Spot on, in my opinion.

Tractor beams pull stuff. Let them pull anything that they have the strength to pull. Associate a maximum weight with the tractor, and offer several different sizes.

And “giant” cans? A more apt name would be “cans of disappointing size”.

Tractor beams are definitely one of the things in Eve that I wish would work consistently. I’d like to use it on other people’s stuff, ships, etc – it’s a beam, it can tractor, why not?!
