Eyes of the Apocrypha

I sit in wonder, stars surround me
The fate of worlds eaten before me
The blue sun glaring, its power unyielding
I watch in awe, worlds and plasma colliding
Forces unknown, melting, destroying
Imagined screams, fading dreams
I watch in horror, silence consuming
The planet cries, the explosion defiant
On its knees, the planet core breaking
I watch in terror, beyond all reason
I fear, I run, I scream, I’m falling
Plasma grasps, warp drive burning
I watch in blindness, blue light blazing
Warp drive dying, I keep praying
Silence engulfs me, freedom escapes me
I watch without emotion as my clone denies me
I wake in sweat, Death escapes me
Images burnt forever in memory
The fate of worlds destroyed before me

Just wondering, is this inspired by War of the Universe by Luca Turilli?
Great work

No. It was inspired by the chronicles around the new Apocrypha expansion of EVE. The whole idea was of a pilot sitting in space watching the events unfold before his very eyes. Until the last minute when he realises he too will be captured by the massive event destroying the very planet he is watching!
Thanks for the compliment. I’ll definitely go have a read up on “War of the Universe” by Luca Turilli…
